The Scoreboard
How the scoreboard works
Each week, the administration’s record is scored item by item. An item is one official action, announcement, result, or failure — scored Win, Pending, or Setback for the official responsible, with a headline, an attributed summary, and the primary sources underneath it.
- A mixed event is split: if a week contains a genuine win and a genuine setback, they are recorded as two items, not averaged into a shrug.
- Each official’s status dot and their Wins / Pending / Setbacks tallies are computed from these entries — they are never set by hand.
- Judgment calls are attributed. Where reasonable readers would score an item differently, the entry says so and names who sees it which way.

The first weekly entries are in preparation and will appear here as they clear review. The scoreboard runs on official sources first: the White House wire, the President’s statements, agency releases, and the hearing record.
