What happened

President Donald Trump took questions from reporters at Bullhead City, Arizona on October 14, 2026, in a gaggle carried on the White House channel. He said the traveling party was switching planes because of a small runway and heading on to “another big rally” in Montana, and put the planned tour at about 32 or 33 rallies, roughly eight in.

Asked about a Michigan Senate candidate, the President asserted that the candidate was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood — “he was a proud member,” he said — and argued such a member should not sit on a security committee, contrasting him with Republican candidate Mike Rogers, whom he praised. He also explained why he campaigns in Montana — gratitude to a state he described as one of his best, and support for its candidates — and, asked about a reported lung-cancer diagnosis for Pope Leo, said he wanted to see the Pope get well and sent his best wishes.

Why it matters

The November 3, 2026 midterms are this site’s Elections & Governance beat, and the President has made himself the Republican campaign’s central surrogate. What he says on the trail — about turnout, candidates, and the stakes as he frames them — is the record the scoreboard checks against the results. A President’s assertions about a Senate candidate, made on the record mid-tour, are part of the campaign record this hub tracks — attributed here to the President who made them.
