What happened
HHS published Secretary Kennedy’s ‘Message to America’ on February 22, 2025, days after he took office. In the description HHS carries with the video, Kennedy says: ‘No stone will be left unturned in our effort to end chronic disease. The health of our children is a higher calling for all of us,’ and invites the public to join the effort to Make America Healthy Again.
Why it matters
This is the new secretary’s founding public statement of the MAHA mission — the chronic-disease framing every later Kennedy initiative on this site is tracked against.
Scoreboard watch
Scoreboard candidate: the MAHA mission as stated in this founding message (ending chronic disease as the department’s charge) — flagged for the scoreboard editors; the entry itself remains review-gated.
