Jamieson Greer Confirmed as U.S. Trade Representative, 56–43

Senate vote: 56–43

Jamieson Greer was confirmed by the Senate as United States Trade Representative on February 26, 2025, by a vote of 56–43 (nomination PN11-17).

“It is my honor to be confirmed by the Senate to serve as President Trump’s US Trade Representative,” Greer said that day. “President Trump recognizes the role unfair trade practices have played in offshoring American jobs and harming our national security. Under President Trump’s leadership, I will work strategically to address unfair trade practices, open new markets, tackle our record trade deficit, and restore America’s ability to become a country of producers.” The mission that started here — tariffs as statecraft and the renegotiation of America’s trade terms — is tracked under the Economy, Tariffs & Trade hub.
