What happened

Law Enforcement Today published its exclusive interview with CBP Commissioner Rodney Scott on June 9, 2026, under the title “The Fight To Keep America Secure,” embedded above. As Law Enforcement Today describes the conversation, it sat down with Commissioner Scott to talk about the race to keep up with the President, the conflict over Border Patrol and ICE, and what it will take to keep America safe — part of the outlet’s series of sit-downs with the officials leading the administration’s law-enforcement agencies.

Why it matters

The interview is the Commissioner in his own words for a law-enforcement audience: the pace of the President’s border agenda and the public fight over his agencies, as Scott frames them himself — the short-form companion to the same week’s hour-long Newsmaker conversation paged on this site.
