What happened

CMS published a “Stay Healthy with Dr. Oz” video on May 21, 2026, in which Administrator Mehmet Oz demonstrates stretching. In CMS’s description, stretching is one of the easiest things people can do for their bodies, it helps with balance, posture, and moving comfortably, and the video’s two stretches take just a few minutes but, done regularly, can help people stay flexible and reduce their risk of injury.

Why it matters

The “Stay Healthy” series is Oz’s preventive-care pitch in his own on-camera style — the television doctor’s format carried into the administrator’s office — and CMS presents these short installments as part of how the agency under Oz sells prevention and everyday movement to the Medicare public.
