What happened

The Department of War published Secretary Hegseth’s full remarks to the Rakkasans of the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell on February 21, 2026. The visit to Fort Campbell was also the subject of short department clips of the Secretary with the unit, which are not separately paged.

Why it matters

Fort Campbell is the home of the 101st Airborne Division, and the Rakkasans are the Secretary’s own former unit — a full-remarks address there is both an official visit and a return to the formation he served in, delivered on the record.
