What happened
CMS published the full recording of its June 3, 2025 Health Technology Ecosystem Request for Information (RFI) question-and-answer webinar. According to CMS’s description, representatives of CMS and the Assistant Secretary for Technology Policy/Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT answered audience questions about the RFI. The listed speakers are CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz; Stephanie Carlton, CMS Chief of Staff and Deputy Administrator; Amy Gleason, Strategic Advisor to HHS/CMS and Acting Administrator of the U.S. DOGE Service; Steven Posnack, Acting Assistant Secretary for Technology Policy and Acting National Coordinator for Health Information Technology; and CMS Senior Advisors for Technology Arda Kara and Alberto Colon Viera.
Why it matters
The RFI was the opening step of the administration’s health-tech ecosystem push — the process that led to the industry pledge round and, in April 2026, the First Wave Launch event at which Oz again appeared. An administrator personally fronting an RFI question session is the working-level record of how the pledge program was scoped before companies committed.
